Our Youth, Inc. has four major annual events. Each event is designed to give back to the community and highlight the positive impact Our Youth, Inc. has on the state of Delaware and its residents.
Annual Fashion Show and Gala - Honors community leaders and honor students
Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive - Gives food to thousands of families who are in need
Annual Christmas Toy Drive - Wheels of Souls and OYI coordinate their efforts with a parade, breakfast, and give-a-way that helps hundreds of families with their Christmas toy list. Bikes, dolls, games, clothing, etc. are all free of charge to those in need.
Annual Adopt-A-Family - The Law Firm of Stargate and Taylor in conjunction with OYI adopt several families and fulfill their Christmas wish list. A celebration with cookies and punch at the offices of Nor Enterprises is a fantastic kick off to the holidays.
Our Youth, Inc. is looking forward to continuing with their annual events and working to add more.
OYI FUN SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Our Youth, Inc.'s principle Mr. Herman Moffet take the students to several fun events each week. The kids go skating, to church services, theatrical presentations, and sport events. The student's are treated to two fun events every week. Our Youth, Inc. provides transportation to these events and they are always free of charge.
STRESSING "GIVING BACK"
All students are invited every week to attend fun activities and social events. The events are chaperoned by the OYI staff and provide transportation and security. The events are all free of charge.
Weekly events include: Skating, Church services, Theater productions, and Sports events
Our Youth, Inc. successfully holds four major events each year. Each event is in recognition of the community and students who participate with the organization and it's success. Our Youth, Inc. and it's Founder Norman Oliver host The Annual Fashion Show and Gala honoring students who have improved academically, and those who have given of themselves. The Fashion is stellar and second to none with professional models. An Annual Turkey Drive and Toy Drive are sponsored every year by OYI and Mr. Oliver. Thousands of families are fed and given toys to celebrate the holidays. A privately sponsored adopt-a-family event is done each Christmas in partnership with The law firm of Young, Conaway. All the Our Youth, Inc. Annual Events are PHENOMENAL! and stress to our students the importance of giving back.
